  1. Hello Synchronet Sysop!

  3. Ok I have been getting a flood of support questions from Syncronet Sysops
  4. lately so heres a update on the EASY way to run Syncronet with DB.
  5.  
  6. Type DB SETUP from the DOS prompt.
  7.  
  8. Goto Advanced,BBS configuration, then on the bottom command line
  9. DOS commands for BBS: D:               [the drive Syncronet is on]
  10.                       CD\SBBS\Node1    [Syncronets Node Directory]
  11.                       +Syncronet c*b -e*t -q
  12. Your done!
  13. Well not quite :-)

  15. You MUST setup Synchronet to the SAME Baud rate and PORT as you have DB setup
  16. at..
  17. I recomend that you Start DB from a Batch file that has all the envirorment
  18. SET commands for Syncronet & D'Bridge in it.. OR as I do Add them to the
  19. SBBS.BAT
  20. in each Node Directory..

  39. Ok now you can tell Syncronet shell and run its doors Etc. like it was a
  40. standalone Syncronet It could care less about the fact it lets D'Bridge
  41. answer the
  42. phone and handle the Mail..

  44. I Highly recomend that you Run 4DOS you will find it handles things much
  45. better
  46. than Command.com be SURE you have at LEAST 1024 bytes of Enviroment space
  47. Config.sys
  48. SHELL= C:\4dos\4dos.com /p /E:1024
